Les Landes by Spatial Correlation (aka Ryan Hagerman), is an excellent album and what's even more excellent is the fact that it's available as a free download! With some very nice and well conceived ambient arrangements, beautifully layered textures and thought provoking percussive elements, Les Landes arrives at that space between your ears with skilled separation and balanced production. The tracks that I find particularly engaging include: Scene, Edit, Glacial, Riga, and District.. yep these are the tracks that made me want to stalk the composer or beg for a private preview of his next album. Spatial Correlation's music is the kind of stuff you'd love to see performed live in a nice archetypical European cathedral or even a small church somewhere where the nearby villagers are all into ambient electronica! I'm happy right now in just having the album but I'll keep my eye(s) on this artist to see what other audio wonderment unfolds!
