Klaus Schulze was once described as the man who "nearly single-handedly invented electronic music".
Born in Berlin in August 1947, he worked with Tangerine Dream at the age of 22 and Ash Ra Tempel, and went on to compose and produce a whole load of albums and collaborations but the focus of our attention today folks is the superb album 'Moondawn' which was orginally released in 1976.

Be prepared to gasp in disbelief in the knowing that this album was recorded using analog equipment and sounds very much as though it were recorded yesterday in the digital domain. Moondawn became a classic for it's leanings towards mesmerizing and almost hypnotic sequences and meditative FX frills. Percussive treatments are cleverly woven into the tapestries that are Floating, Mindphaser, and the bonus track Floating Sequence.

The re-release from Revisted/SPV is from the orginal master rather than the remixed versions that surfaced post 1976.

Moondawn is music from one of the founding fathers, crafted and nurtured to become a seedling for what was to come and which stands today, like a mighty oak.
