The Barometric Sun is an album of blessings rather than a collection of ambient tracks. Who would have guessed that the artist only got to pick up on the electronica scene in a purposeful sense in 2000? Each of the remarkably produced tracks on this album essentially highlight the composer's inner visions for us all to relate to in one way or another but there is something else here that's been captured, refined, developed further and mixed down to form a very strong contribution to the ambient euphoria that's increasingly innovative and inventive these days. Favourite excursions into the furthest edges of my audio underworld include Hymn 1, Silent revolving world, Crysanthemum ocean, and Sungliders. These are the stunners in my humble estimation. However, for the rest of you who's expectations are even higher than mine, buying this album in it's entirety would benefit your sense of well being tremendously.. as it has mine! Elley Wilson |
